1st “Suds on Sunday” A Soapy Success!

What an amazing day! The first Vets4Pets “Suds on Sunday” was a soapy success, with more than 50 dogs getting bathed. With the able hands of so many volunteers the day was smoothly run and enjoyed by all, with the possible exception of a few furry friends who are big babies when it comes to bathing!

We are grateful for the venue provided by Fergs LIVE!, at 490 Channelside Drive. We also appreciate all our volunteers, including some greats ones from Second Chance Boxer Rescue and the University of South Florida Pre-Vet Club. Our charity relies on volunteers frequently, and Vets4Pets is indebted to those people who take time to support the animals of Tampa Bay! And certainly the volunteer list could not be complete without a hat tip to a very wet dog groomer, Ms. Charlie Cowan; and a very tired event organizer Ms. Karen Hubby.

Most importantly, we thank all the families who came out and supported our mission. With several substantial donations and services provided to over 50 dogs, we netted over $1,000 from this event. Most of those funds will be immediately put to use on March 12, when Vets4Pets provides a free vaccine clinic to low income residents of Ybor City and the surrounding area. Thanks again to everyone who attended, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the patio soon!
