Welcome to the first quarterly HAHF Members Newsletter! You are receiving this newsletter because you are a valued member of the Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation, and we want you to be aware of all of the exciting things the Foundation is doing for the community and for you. As the Foundation approaches 25 years of existence, the board of directors salutes the long time support of the veterinary community of Hillsborough County in realizing the mission of the Foundation. The mission, simply put, is to foster the human/pet bond, promote improved pet health care, provide pet owner education, and provide veterinary referrals to those seeking a veterinarian. That mission was set forth three decades ago, and the mission is just as vital today as it was for those proud veterinarians who started the Foundation and established its core goals.
While the mission isn’t changing, the image and methods utilized by the Foundation are, as the board of directors realized the Foundation needed to be refreshed and rebranded. In order to effect the revitalization of the Foundation, a new executive director has been named, and many changes have been implemented, with many more to follow over the next few months. A few things you may notice right away are the logo has been redesigned, and a new website launched. This quarterly membership newsletter was the next significant project completed, but is really just the beginning of the substantial improvements the Foundation is making. The year 2012 is going to see some very exciting modifications for the Foundation. Those changes will include improvements in our charitable efforts, substantial investments in our public advocacy thru Public Service Announcements delivered via multi-media programming including Cable TV, and enhancements to our member programming. These improvements and additions are designed to materially enrich our community, as well as the members who so faithfully support our Foundation. Stay tuned as much, much more will follow
