New Website Launched, Contributors Needed!

We are pleased to announce the new and greatly improved website has been launched!  Visit hahf.org and you will see not only improvements that benefit our community, but also some that benefit our members.  We want to make our community aware of the strong support shown by the members of the HAHF, and the website is one important place that will happen.  In fact, in keeping with today’s multi-media world, the website will be the central hub for all of our public advocacy and education efforts.  Every effort will be made to drive the community to our site, and some new ideas have been implemented to help make that happen.

One important feature:  many of our members have visitors in our clinics that are in desperate need of a home.  For those clinics in such a situation, we now have our ‘adopt a pet’ page, which will allow your clinic to submit adoption information to our site for inclusion on the ‘adopt a pet’ page.  Even better, if you are using the technology with your clinic, you can provide an RSS feed and the information on your page will automatically link to the HAHF site, thus improving your outreach.  Contact us for help setting up this program, either manually or automatically.

Another new feature for our members is the rotating ad slider that will be on all pages.  For your clinic to be included, we simply need your clinic logo.  If you have something more specific that you want used, contact us for size and resolution details or help with ad design.

Finally, we need blogs, so unleash your inner blogger and get us some material!  As doctors, the community is interested in hearing from you, and now we have a forum for that expression.  Contact us for details, or to submit your first blog contribution.

Over the next few months, more news will be upcoming not only about the website, but about other programming and media efforts by the Foundation.  Stay tuned for that information as the Foundation continues to change and improve on behalf of our members.
