TAMPA, Fla., – The Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation is scheduled to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new charitable clinic, Vets4Pets, on Thursday.
“Our mission at Vets4Pets is to serve those who truly need our help, the indigent pet owners of our community,” said Don Thompson, executive director of the Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation.
Vets4Pets will fulfill this mission by collaborating with local animal rescue organizations, human charities, the Hillsborough County Spay & Neuter Voucher Program and the over 40 HAHF member hospitals.
Some of the services offered by Vets4Pets will include spaying, neutering, vaccines, intestinal parasite exams, heartworm treatment and prevention, and microchipping. Importantly, all services will be provided using the same standard of care seen in our member hospitals.
“Not only do we want to see pets happy and healthy, but their caretakers as well,” Dr. Christy Layton, a board member of the HAHF. There are many diseases that can spread from pets to humans, and we will be focusing on preventing and treating those diseases, as well as education.”
Vets4Pets is located in East Tampa at 5010 E Broadway Ave. They are open Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 813-235-0883 or email: info@vets-4-pets.org. For more information visit www.vets-4-pets.org.
