2014 Hurricane Season is Here… Are You Prepared?

petshurricane

Each year natural disasters such as floods, storms, and hurricanes cause hundreds of pets to be separated from their families. The Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation (HAHF) wants make sure that each family member is prepared should a natural disaster such as a hurricane occur. This not only includes adults and children, but the pets of the family as well.

The HAHF has created a convenient handout that every Hillsborough County pet owner should include in their hurricane kits. It contains the following important pet hurricane preparedness information:

  • List of items that you should have readily available should a natural disaster strike.
  • Important Hillsborough County emergency phone numbers.
  • Your veterinarian’s contact information, along with emergency vet information.
